The biomanufacturing pillar is focusing on combined use of 3D printing, biocompatible and biodegradable materials, cells and other biological materials for tissue engineering and food bio printing applications. The use of additive manufacturing for the fabrication of medical devices is another area of research key topics include the development of multifunctional bio inks, new alloy design, development of pharmaceutical 3D printing technology, digital bio printing with machine learning and robotics, food bio printing and alternative proteins, and standards for bio printing.
