NTU Physics Discovery Camp

About the Camp

The NTU Physics Discovery Camp enables pre-university students to discover the exciting world of physics beyond what they have learned in school. Students will learn about the physics of the largest cosmological scales, how thermodynamics informs the design of quantum information devices, as well as how energy is harnessed from the sun. Students will engage in NTU Physics faculty led classes, dive into discussions on university and undergraduate life, as well as interact with our researchers and professors throughout the programme. This year, in conjunction with the “International Year of Quantum Science and Technology”, the third day of the camp will feature a “Quantum Day,” where lectures and activities will be tailored specifically to showcase quantum mechanics and devices.

A key part of the programme are the hands-on experiments, where students will build and perform experiments in our Physics laboratories, including firing a liquid nitrogen rocket, measuring temperatures near absolute zero, coaxing light to behave like a projectile, constructing devices at nanoscale in a cleanroom, and simulating the fractal patterns found in "chaos".

About NTU Physics
