Stipends

The Association for Linguistic Typology (ALT) will be offering limited stipends for researchers to attend the ALT XV conference. This funding can help to cover conference registration fees, travel costs, and/or low-cost accommodation on a case-by-case basis.  

To apply, please download and complete the application form found on this page. In your application, please include details that may help to demonstrate your need for assistance, including but not limited to, your financial situation and research interests in linguistic typology. Stipends are not limited to just students; anyone able to justify their need for funding is welcome to apply. 

Please submit your application for a stipend via email to [email protected] by 30th September 2024 (or earlier if possible) with ‘ALT XV Stipend Application’ as the subject line. For queries regarding stipends, you may contact this same email address. 

Notifications of successful stipend applications will be announced in October.
