In recent years, Sinophone Malaysian literature in Taiwan has gained considerable attention from researchers. However, the themes encompassed by ‘Sinophone Malaysian literature’ and ‘Sinophone Malaysian literature in Taiwan’ differ significantly. The former responds to Malaysian nationalism, diaspora, and reflections on Chinese identity, while the latter is more complex. Though partly rooted in the former, it also involves the intricate circumstances surrounding the acceptance, dissemination, and recognition of Sinophone Malaysian literature in Taiwan. This lecture aims to explore the potential issues that could be addressed from the perspective of transnational literary dissemination and recognition.

The lecture will be conducted in Chinese.
