Enriching Their Learning - MTI Students Get Opportunity for Overseas Immersion

The four-week overseas immersion of the Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation (MTI) programme at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) commenced on 20^th May 2024. 

This programme offers MTI students the unique opportunity to engage in intensive translation and interpretation training while immersing themselves in the English-speaking culture in one of the most renowned interpreting and translation training institutions in the world. This overseas immersion enhances their bilingual communication skills and cross-cultural competence, providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for students who aspire to be interpreters or cultural ambassadors. This immersive programme helps students practice and improve their translation and interpreting skills in real-world settings. It prepares students to meet the challenges of interpreting with effective communication under pressure, confidence, and adaptability, ensuring they are well-equipped for successful careers in the global market.
