Visit the SPMS Open House 2024 on 2 March!

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, will hold an Open House on 2 March 2024. This public event, held in conjunction with NTU Open House 2024, will feature a variety of exciting activities to explore the world of physics and mathematics.

Open House Highlights

• Programme Talk — Associate Professor Ng Keng Meng and Associate Professor Chong Yidong will introduce NTU's undergraduate degrees in the Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Applied Physics, and related Second Major and Double Major programmes. There will also be a Q&A featuring existing students and alumni.
• Lectures on Mathematics and Physics — SPMS faculty will give talks about recent exciting research advances in the Mathematical Sciences and Physics. These layman-accessible lectures will open a window into the fast-moving frontiers of research.
• Activity Booths — Experience a variety of hands-on activities and demos, including the levitation of a superconductor by magnetic fields, breaking secret codes using intelligent algorithms, and more!
• Lab Tours — There will be small-group guided tours of the Physics research labs, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at how cutting-edge research is done.
  
• Complimentary Snacks and Refreshments — SPMS Open House attendees are welcome to a range of complimentary beverages (e.g. bubble tea) and snacks (e.g., nachos and hotdogs).
