SSS Claims Victory in Basecamp 2024 Wellbeing Hackathon!
Organised by the NTU Wellbeing Office, Basecamp 2024 brought together NTU students and staff to tackle the pressing wellbeing challenges on campus. This year’s hackathon zeroed in on sleep’s vital role in enhancing overall health and wellness.
We’re thrilled to announce that NTU’s School of Social Sciences (SSS) team - Goh Ling Yi, Sean Yong, and Seah Yi Lin - won the top prize! Their winning idea introduced a three-pronged strategy to boost sleep quality among students by integrating healthy sleep habits into academic modules, incentivizing positive sleep behaviours, and redesigning spaces like the Hygge area for optimal relaxation on campus.
This victory not only highlights the innovative thinking and dedication of our SSS students but also marks a step forward in fostering a culture of wellbeing at NTU. Here’s to building healthier sleep habits and a thriving NTU community!
