Cambodia 2023: Nur Aini lifts herself into the history books

She made her international debut in para-powerlifting at the 9th Asean Para Games (APG) 2017 in Kuala Lumpur - becoming the first woman to represent Singapore in the sport and to fly the flag in para-powerlifting at the biennial event.  She repeated that feat a year later at the 2018 Asian Para Games, then at the Tokyo Paralympics held in 2021.  

Nur’ Aini Mohamad Yasli was diagnosed with multiple epiphyseal dysplasias at age 6.  But our alumni is undoubtedly an athlete defying physical impairment.  Nur’ Aini, our SSS 2017 Alumni, claimed two bronze medals once again at the 12th ASEAN Para Games Cambodia 2023.  Now this is definitely a proud story for SSS to share.
