Xi Jinping met with Blinken; China and US agreed to stabilise bilateral relations to prevent conflicts

Asst Prof Dylan Loh, from NTU’s Public Policy and Global Affairs programme, said that after Blinken's visit to China, the outside world could remain "cautiously optimistic" about China-US relations. Both sides previously signalled not to have too high expectations and significantly lowered external expectations, so being able to find common ground in any area can be regarded as a victory.
