Prof Liow appointed MEI Chairman
We are delighted to share that our Dean, Professor Joseph Liow, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Management Board at the Middle East Institute (MEI), NUS, effective September 1, 2024. In addition to his role as Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and as a Professor at the NTU School of Social Sciences, Prof Liow’s new appointment reflects his deep expertise in Middle Eastern affairs.
With his leadership, MEI is poised to make significant strides in advancing its mission to deepen understanding of the Middle East, further strengthening its influence and reputation among government stakeholders and the broader community.
