Prof Liu Hong has been ranked among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists by Stanford University for five consecutive years

Stanford University has released the latest top 2% scientists in various scientific fields based on the Scopus author profiles as of16 Sep 2024. Prof Liu Hong, NCPA Director (Research and Executive Education) and Tan Lark Sye Chair Professor of Public Policy & Global Affairs, School of Social Sciences at NTU, is once again on the list for his outstanding performance in the academic field. Prof Liu has been on the list for five consecutive years since 2018 for his academic performance as measured by career-long citation impact and single-recent-year-impact metrics, demonstrating his long-term contribution to promoting academic development and shaping international academic discourse, and important contributions to enhancing NTU's scientific research reputation. Prof Liu been ranked among the top 2% of the world’s scientists in areas such as social sciences, cultural studies, economics, sociology, political science, and public administration. These rankings are not only a recognition of his academic contributions, but also highlight the influence of his interdisciplinary research.
