We are excited to share an impactful article authored by Sharad Pandian, a former Research Associate at SSS@NTU, and Ian McGonigle, a former NTU Sociology faculty member, published in the Asian Journal of Public Affairs. Although Ian has recently moved on from NTU, this achievement remains a remarkable contribution that reflects our school's high calibre of research.

It examines Singapore’s Covid-19 response, showing how it diverges from traditional technocracy and explores the role of science in shaping trust within authoritarian states, offering a fresh perspective on Singapore as a technological state.
