TARIPH Lung Patient Network
The TARIPH Lung Patient Network, launched on 20 September 2023 by Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Heng Swee Keat, is the first patient panel for respiratory research in Singapore and serves as a platform for individuals dealing with chronic lung diseases and their caregivers to be empowered in becoming active research partners in respiratory medicine, thus going beyond only being involved as research participants.

- Insightful: See beyond own experience to draw insights to help others learn and make improvements.
- Confident: Comfortable to speak up in a group at meetings and events, and ability to interact well with people from different walks of life.
- Committed: Able to commit time to be involved in projects and attend meetings.

The TARIPH Centre will equip our Patient Advocates with essential skills on storytelling and effective communication on the patient perspective as well as inform them on essential information regarding medical research to help them in their role as patient partners.
For Healthcare Professionals
The TARIPH Lung Patient Network is also open to Healthcare Professionals. We welcome any Healthcare Professional (Clinicians, Nurses, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Allied Health etc.) who would like to make Healthcare better by co-partnering with patients. These Healthcare Professional members may contribute by referring patients, sharing technical expertise as well as offer perspectives from the healthcare viewpoint.
The TARIPH Centre organizes annual workshops that are co-created with patients to inform on how to improve communication on diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.
Members of the TARIPH Lung Patient Network can look forward to annual festive Chinese New Year and/or End-of-year gatherings as well as networking workshops which involving researchers, healthcare professionals and industry partners.
