SXSW provides a unique immersive experience for graduate students to experience cutting-edge of creativity and technology in one of the coolest cities in the United States.

I like to go to museums very much because just around the corner, there might be a concept that will blow my mind and help me have a new perception of the world. One particular talk that stood out was dismantling white supremacy in design thinking. The speakers discussed the biases that subconsciously manifest in the designs we make.
The most poignant takeaway for me was: if the systems previously designed uphold injustice, then today, we have the agency to redesign them to be better for everyone. I will take this philosophy with me and let it settle in my actions.
