WKWSCI Advisory Board
In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, WKWSCI introduced a new advisory board made up of exemplary alumni. The WKWSCI Advisory Board (AB) is a committed partner with the school in delivering its mission. The WKWSCI AB provides guidance and support to the school, with emphasis on educational goals, fostering professional relationships, and developing and maintaining alumni engagement. The AB is comprised of individuals with diverse professional experiences who represent a broad context for communication practices.

A seasoned PR practitioner with over 20 years of experience working with global and Asian brands, Voal Voal co-founded IN.FOM in 2011, a homegrown agency that has received recognition from the regional and international communications industry.
Angeline Poh
Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer, Mediacorp
Class of 1999
Angeline Poh is Mediacorp’s Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer.
In this concurrent appointment, she oversees Mediacorp’s audience engagement and programming across its multiple platforms; as well as manages the development and execution of corporate-wide strategy, projects, and initiatives. She also oversees the Singapore Media Academy, which offers training and education services for the media industry.
Before joining Mediacorp, Angeline was the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) responsible for developing the Tech & Media sectors. She also oversaw the development and implementation of Singapore’s public service content strategies and initiatives. Prior to the formation of IMDA, she led the Media Development Authority’s (MDA) industry planning and development group and previously served as the Managing Director of McGraw-Hill Education (Asia), after holding various positions at the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Eugene Wee

After graduating from WKWSCI, Eugene began his career with Singapore Press Holdings, taking on a variety of roles in media and business, staying with the company for 24 years. At The New Paper, he worked as journalist covering tech, politics, business, crime and entertainment, foreign correspondent based in the US, news editor and editor. Eugene also served as SPH's Chief Customer Officer, CEO of SPH Magazines, and Head of Media Strategy.
In addition to his role on WKWSCI's Advisory Board, Eugene is active on the advisory boards at other Singapore educational institutions, sharing his expertise in Film and Media Studies as well as Business Management.
Vivien Ng

Vivien represents the Emerging Market and Asian Equities team on its equity strategies to institutional and wholesale investors globally. Her role encompasses business development, retention of assets, pitching and marketing the team's investment portfolios. Prior to this, her experiences spanned the finance and media industry, in economics research, business development, marketing, and journalism.
Kelvin Kao

From the graduating batch of 2005, Kelvin is the CEO and founder of PROTOCOL, an award-winning creative company. Since its inception in 2012, the agency has worked with a portfolio of global & local brands from Nestle, Mandai, Lendlease, Starhub, Canon, Club Med, among others, in developing creative campaigns and social media content.
Adrian Yeap
Founder, Sweatshop

Adrian loves a good sweat. From the national floorball league to international poker tournaments, he never shies away from the heat of the competition. It is with the same spirit that challenged him to found Sweatshop after spending 17 years across network agencies like Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Publicis.
His career highlights include being the first and only Singaporean to win back-to-back D&AD Yellow Pencils, steering his last agency to a historic, first-ever Effie Agency of the Year, and marrying the first suit that gave him a good brief.
Ng Kaijie
Director (Innovation), Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore

Kaijie has more than a decade of experience across the public and private sectors. He is part of the Singapore Administrative Service, which develops leaders with whole-of-government perspectives and capabilities.
Kaijie has served across education, transport and manpower policy functions. He was most recently seconded to Carousell Group as their first Strategy Director, driving their funding round which made them one of Singapore's unicorn in 2021, and their Recommerce corporate strategy refresh. He currently leads the Innovation Division in IMDA, supporting corporates to match with start-ups and innovate digitally.
Sarah Wan
General Manager, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Klook

As Klook’s General Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sarah oversees the travel and leisure platform's operations, including business development, marketing and e-commerce.
In the past few years, Sarah has led her team in tackling the domestic and cross-border tourism market amidst a rapidly changing environment - from kickstarting Klook's foray into hotels, entertainment and cruises, to innovating and enhancing traditional tourism products.
In her previous role as Southeast Asia Marketing Director, Sarah was recognised in The Drum’s Global Future 50 2020 list, for her efforts in pivoting Klook’s business during the pandemic.
Serene Cai

Serene is the Co-founder of Speedoc, one of the region's leading digital health startups specialising in decentralised care and home-based medical care.
Founded in 2017, Speedoc is a virtual clinic and healthcare solutions platform enabling users access to home-based medical care and services. Speedoc’s aim is to drive the world’s medical care needs out of hospitals and clinics by delivering a full suite of healthcare services to people’s homes. These services include home visits by doctors and nurses, video consultations, allergy and health screenings, remote health monitoring, and its flagship virtual hospital services.
In 2020, Speedoc raised S$6.7 million in a Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures; and in 2022, it raised a further S$28 million in a pre-Series B funding to expand its virtual hospital programme. Serene continues to work with hospital and government partners to expand virtual hospital services globally.

A journalist and editor for about two decades in Singapore, China and the United States, Chin Hon is passionate about all aspects of the news industry. He is currently the lead of AI Strategy & Solutions at Mediacorp, Singapore’s largest content creator and national media network.

As part of Mediacorp’s senior management team since 2018, she led the Corporate Development and Strategic Planning teams that maintain oversight for and execution of corporate-wide strategic projects and initiatives.

Joanne Yap

In her role as Group Chief Operating Officer, Group Director, Institutional Community Care with the National University Health System, Joanne works with colleagues to drive operational alignment, effectiveness and efficiency across the various institutions in NUHS, to achieve seamless care and service to patients. Joanne also holds various senior positions at other public healthcare institutions, including Chief Strategy Officer of Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital; Director of Jurong Medical Centre.
Linda Lee

At LinkedIn, Linda plays a unique hybrid role in marrying both internal and external communications in Asia Pacific - leading and driving communications initiatives in Southeast Asia and North Asia, as well as corporate and internal communications for Asia Pacific.
She is also the Founder of White Parachute, a mentoring programme serving "seemingly average" students in Singapore.

Since graduating from WKWSCI, Adrian has won over 90 creative and effectiveness awards, becoming the first and only Singaporean to win back-to-back D&AD Yellow Pencils. From Saatchi & Saatchi to DDB and Ogilvy, Adrian’s work was internationally awarded in Cannes, One Show, Effies and D&AD across multiple disciplines including digital, mobile, print and activation.
Sam Kang Li

Shortly after graduation in 2009, Kang Li established Little Red Ants Creative Studio with four other partners – all WKWSCI alumni. Today, the video production agency, which also employs several alumni, is a 35-men team that creates content to communicate effectively for clients in sectors such as aviation, education, government, healthcare and more.
Sarah Thiam

At GovTech Singapore, Sarah works with her colleagues to engage, cultivate and recruit Singapore-US tech talent for opportunities in Singapore. She leads the tech talent strategy for Singapore’s Smart Nation vision and the programmatic overseas talent outreach for the United States.
Prior to this, Sarah led the event strategy and operations across Microsoft Asia Pacific, previously managing product marketing for Windows 10 and Surface devices in Microsoft Singapore. The power of branding is a keen interest which stems from her rich experience from WKWSCI, with opportunities to lead events such as the Perspectives Film Festival and WKWSCI D&D.
