As Klook’s General Manager for Singapore, Sarah oversees the travel and leisure platform's operations, including business development, marketing and e-commerce. Over the past two years, Sarah has led her team in tackling the domestic tourism market amidst a rapidly changing environment - from kickstarting Klook's foray into hotels and cruises, to innovating and enhancing traditional tourism products to better suit local tastes.

Sarah was previously Southeast Asia Marketing Director (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) for Klook. Prior to that, she worked in Edelman’s Brand practice - where she led consumer campaigns for prominent international and local brands including Diageo, Shell, Singapore Tourism Board, Lagardère Sports, Kimberly Clark and Nestlé.

KEVIN LIM
Impact Award Recipient

Kevin joined The Straits Times in 2009, and is currently its chief photojournalist.

On top of shooting general news and sports for the newspaper, he has also covered the Malaysian Elections and Typhoon Haiyan's aftermath in Tacloban in 2013, Indonesia's legislative elections in 2014, and the AirAsia QZ8501 disaster in 2015.

In the same year, he received the 36th Society for News Design Award of Excellence for Photography/Single Photo Portrait and Singapore Press Holdings' English/Malay/Tamil Media (EMTM) Feature Picture of the Year.

Key highlights of Kevin’s career are the coverage of the 2018 Trump-Kim Summit - with him being the only Singaporean photojournalist permitted to document the historic handshake and exchanges between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore - and making the cover of Time magazine and Time’s Top 100 Photos of 2018.

Kevin created a bit of his own history by clinching the Journalist of the Year award for 2018 at Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) annual awards for its English/Malay/Tamil Media Group - a first for a photojournalist.

He also made it to the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil. There, he captured Usain Bolt’s golden swan song, a Neymar-led Brazil’s charge to their first football gold medal and Joseph Schooling’s triumph in the pool to win Singapore’s first ever Olympic gold medal.

A versatile shooter who enjoys his news and sports coverage, Kevin also dabbles in the use of multimedia in his story-telling which takes the form of photo essays published under the column Home In Focus both in print and online.

In an ever-changing media landscape, Kevin retains the belief that photojournalism can continue to educate and provide a voice in society.
