In 2020, the WKWSCI Alumni Awards was renamed the WKWSCI Spotlight Awards. The WKWSCI Spotlight Awards continues to recognise our alumni who have made an impact in their own fields of work and social causes.

LAURA NALAND
Emerging Star Award Recipient

Laura Naland brings a rare mix of skills to the world of B2B communications - tenacity, strategic, creative and empathetic. She excels in guiding and empowering teams across APAC, delivering outstanding work and tangible business results.


Graduating in 2018, Laura quickly rose to become an Associate Account Director at The Hoffman Agency, a technology specialist marketing communications consultancy with 13 offices across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. In 2023, she moved to Japan to strengthen the agency's Tokyo office, distinguishing herself with early international experience and leadership.

Laura's achievements include the PRCA APAC Young Communicator Award (2024), Gold in the Singapore Young Lions PR Competition (2022), and IPRS Outstanding Young PR Professional (2021). She has also strategised and executed many award-winning campaigns such as the "Invisalign Singapore Survey and Consumer Education Campaign" and "Hearing Partners Encourages Singaporeans to #ListenAgain" has earned top industry honors.

Laura contributes to the marcomms community by conducting regular workshops at WKWSCI since 2019 (her last guest lecture was February 2023 before she moved to Tokyo). She was also a mentor for WKW Engage—a student-run initiative to connect industry professionals with communications students—in 2019.

Raymond Zhang is an experienced entrepreneur and enterprise software technologist with 16 years of business and technology experience in startup and global companies.

In 2017, Raymond co-founded JKSTACK, where he currently serves as COO. JKSTACK specializes in hyperautomation technologies and AI agent applications, collaborating with public institutions to enhance their services through AI and assisting commercial organizations in boosting efficiency with highly interconnected data and systems.

Headquartered in China, JKSTACK impacts millions through its "AI Community Assistant" application and supports numerous Fortune 500 and China Top 500 companies with its hyperautomation software. Recognized as a leading hyperautomation agent company in China, JKSTACK has been nominated as a representative vendor by Gartner for three consecutive years and has secured multiple rounds of venture capital investments.

Raymond’s dedication to computer technologies and innovative problem-solving continues to drive his work and the success of JKSTACK.
