Experts interviewed believe that the production of Korean dramas for streaming platforms in one of the factors that promote the expansion of Korean dramas from Asia to the world. Asst Prof Sangjoon Lee from NTU WKWSCI believes that cross-border production of shows for streaming platforms is a big driving factor. He pointed out that Korean film and television were originally two major entities, and film directors would not make television dramas, but international streaming platforms have changed this, attracting film directors with generous budgets.
