An island awakens

In April, a massive fire destroyed the three Malay shrines on Kusu Island. Sufficient repairs were completed just days before the yearly pilgrimage season, which falls on the ninth lunar month between September and October. Three undergraduates from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information – Alisa Yeo, Eric Teo, and Ryan Chiong – document life on the island since the fire.
