Our objective is to empower you to better understand yourself and make the best of our resources and network. Throughout the academic year, the Graduate Studies Career Development Office (GSCDO) organises a wide range of activities exclusively for MSc Finance students.

Personal Assessment and Development
The key to your long-term career success is the development of critical leadership competencies that grow and evolve over time. At the MSc Finance programme, you are challenged to learn more about yourself for example your strengths and weaknesses, perceptions and outlook. You develop self-analysis and critical thinking tools to find learning gaps and opportunities for growth. Lastly, we empower you to deliver as a leader throughout your career.

Career Advisory
Our specialised team of career advisors will work closely with you to develop and implement a robust career action plan. You can get expert advice on job search, resume and cover letter, as well as salary negotiation.

Career Resources
Exclusive to NBS students, CareerFIT is a one-stop portal which makes event registrations, internships, and job searches time-efficient. You can upload your resumes and submit job applications with just a single click.

Resume Book
This publication (both in English and Chinese) is sent to recruiters every month for them to identify and connect with candidates who would be a good fit for their organisations.

Career Skills Workshops
We roll out core workshops on how to develop a unique personal brand, network effectively, optimise your online presence, shine at interviews, crack a business case, etc.

Recruitment Events
Many top companies such as leading financial institutions/Fintech companies, technology giants as well as MNCs from a wide range of industries both from Singapore and Overseas come to NBS regularly to find interns and potential full-time employees. There are also internships and career fairs, recruitment talks, and speaker series for you to maximise your exposure to employers and make impactful connections.

China Opportunities
NBS has developed a broad range of relationships with top companies across many different industries in China. Throughout the year, many top companies from China engage with students directly and actively recruit from NBS postgraduate students. In recent years, many leading companies such as CICC, CITIC Securities, Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, JD.com and Ping An Group have hired MSc Finance graduates.

Internships
We encourage you to pursue experiential learning opportunities during your studies. As such, we equip you with many resources and opportunities to land part-time or full-time internships.
