Nanyang Fellows MBA For Senior Public Sector Executives
Developed by Harvard Business School, the case study methodology is widely used in executive education. It is designed to sharpen your decision-making and analytical skills by examining authentic business scenarios, and by defending your recommendations
to the group.
International Format
Programme Calendar
The Nanyang Fellows MBA programme was launched in 1998 by Dr Tony Tan, then Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore. Each year, a small, select group of about 25-30 participants from across the globe join the programme for a journey of profound and intense learning.
It all begins at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with further immersive learning opportunities at UC Berkeley in California and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Through interaction with faculty, business associates and peers, public sector professionals in our programme are able to craft public policies that cater to global businesses.
Full Time
The full-time Nanyang Fellows MBA programme covers a period of 12 months, comprising the following:
- Three trimesters in Singapore, approximately 13 weeks each
- Company visits, leadership talks, and seminars
- SPAN (Strategy Projects at Nanyang) projects across two trimesters
- Residential programmes at our partner universities, University of California, Berkeley (for two weeks) and Tsinghua University (for one week)
- Interaction opportunities with Nanyang Fellows MBA (Part-time) and Nanyang Executive MBA cohorts
Part Time
The part-time Nanyang Fellows programme covers a period of 24 months, comprising the following:
- Six trimesters in Singapore, approximately 13 weeks each
- Up to 2 weekday evening classes per week
- Company visits, leadership talks, and seminars
- SPAN (Strategy Projects at Nanyang) projects across two trimesters
- Residential programmes at our partner universities, University of California, Berkeley (for two weeks) and Tsinghua University (for one week)
- Interaction opportunities with Nanyang Fellows MBA (Full-time), Nanyang Professional MBA and Nanyang Executive MBA cohorts

Strategy Projects At Nanyang (SPAN)
Gain crucial hands-on knowledge and experience through the Strategy Projects at Nanyang (SPAN), a live consulting assignment that addresses a real-life challenge in an organisation, alongside company visits, insights from guest speakers, and collaborative learning with EMBA candidates.
Leadership & Business Seminar Series
The Leadership and Business Seminar Series features Asia’s most prominent business and government visionaries, who share their invaluable insights on issues, opportunities, and challenges that confront today’s global leaders and their organisations.

Besides learning at Nanyang Technological University against the backdrop of Singapore’s Smart Nation vision, the Nanyang Fellows MBA encompasses in-depth classes at two of the world’s most prestigious universities – the University of California, Berkeley, and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Advanced modules taught by global-minded faculty experts, together with curated company visits, will bring immersive experiences with distinctive East and West perspectives.
