What specialization tracks do you offer in the Nanyang MBA programme?
You may choose to specialize in one of the following 5 tracks:

Candidates can choose to do General Management if they want to have the flexibility to select electives across all 5 tracks.
We also offer double MBA or Masters programme.
Is this a full-time or part-time programme?
You can pursue the Nanyang MBA full-time. Only full-time participants may pursue the Double MBA or Double Masters programmes.
What is the period of study for your MBA programmes?

Where are the classes conducted?
The classes are either conducted at the main campus in Jurong or the downtown NTU@One-north Executive Centre (off North Buona Vista Road).

Besides the tuition fees, what other mandatory miscellaneous fees will I incur?
Besides the programme tuition fees, both local and international participants are required to pay the mandatory miscellaneous fees such as insurance, IT Facilities Fee, Examination Fees, etc.
What is the estimated monthly living expenses?
Assuming the participant is successful with his/her on-campus dormitory application and depending on the lifestyle, the average monthly living expenses will be between S$1,200 and S$1,500.
Minimum Entry Requirements
What are the minimum entry requirements to the Nanyang MBA?
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 2 years work experience
- GMAT score > 600 or GRE equivalent
- TOEFL score > 100IBT > 600 PBT or IELTS score > 6.5, if English was not the medium of instruction used at the undergraduate level
I do not have a Bachelor's Degree. Will my application be considered if I have a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, Diploma)?
Candidates need to possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the Nanyang MBA.
I am self-employed / running a family business since graduating with a Bachelor's Degree. Will my application be considered?
Yes, if you can provide proof that you have been doing so for at least 2 years.

How many intakes do you have per year?
One, which commences in July.
How do I apply?
Please apply at our online application system. Only online applications are accepted.
When should I submit the application form?

What documents must I submit to support my application?
A number of supporting documents must accompany your application. Please refer to the checklist here.
How much is the application fee?
S$100. Please pay online or by cheque. For international applicants, please pay online or through a bank draft with the clearing bank in Singapore, and not by cheque. The application fee is non-refundable.
What should I do after submitting my application?
Submitted applications will be reviewed and a notification email will be sent to you if your application is missing some documents. Assessment begins after the application deadline of each round. You will be notified if you have been shortlisted for an interview within 4-6 weeks after the application deadline of the round which you applied to.
How do I check the status of my application?
You may track the status of your application anytime by logging into the online application system with your username and password.
What Is GMAT?
Graduate Management Admission Test. It is a test to assess the aptitude of applicants for advanced study in business and management. For more information, please visit their website. Please note that our NTU code no. is V24-ZV-13.
Is GMAT compulsory?
Yes. Therefore, you are strongly advised to take the GMAT early so as not to delay the processing of your application. The institution code for NTU is V24-ZV-13. A good GMAT score will be viewed favourably in the assessment of the application.
What is the acceptable score for GMAT?
600 and above.
Can I submit my GMAT score report at a later date?
Yes. Please submit your application online first, even if you have not taken the GMAT (you may indicate the date of your GMAT test, if any) and send your unofficial GMAT score report once you have taken the test. Please note that assessment will only begin when we have received all your supporting documents.
How long is my GMAT score valid?
5 years from the test date. Therefore, a score obtained after August 2014 is valid for admission to the Nanyang MBA in 2019.
If I have taken the GMAT more than once, which score will you consider?
We will take the highest score for consideration.
Do you accept the GRE score?
Yes, we accept GRE scores. Our DI Code is 3802.
Is TOEFL mandatory? Can I request to be exempted?
TOEFL is mandatory if English is not your native tongue or if the medium of instruction for your tertiary studies (undergraduate degree) was not exclusively in English. To be exempted, you need to produce proof of other language proficiency such as IELTS / TOEIC or its equivalent.
What is an acceptable TOEFL score?
At least 600 for paper-based, 250 for computer-based and above 100 for internet-based tests. The institution code is 9705.
How long is my TOEFL score valid?
2 years from the test date. Therefore, a score obtained after August 2017 is valid for admission to the Nanyang MBA in 2019.
Can I substitute IELTS for TOEFL?
Yes, we accept IELTS as a substitute for TOEFL. The minimum acceptable band score is 6.5.
My degree was not taught in English however I have lived and/or worked in an English-speaking environment for many years. Will I still be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS?
Yes, you will need to obtain the TOEFL or IELTS as proof of your English language proficiency.
How many referee reports are required?
Two (2). All reports must be submitted using the standard template.
Who can my referee(s) be?
- Your immediate supervisors (both past and present)
- University instructors
- Business associates (for self-employed only)
Can I submit the referee report by hard or soft copy?
Your nominated referees would be informed via the email provided by you that there is a request for a referee report.
How can I check if my online application has been received?
You will receive an e-mail notification to confirm receipt of your application.
Who should I contact if I encounter technical problems with my online application?
Please contact our MBA team at nbsmba@ntu.edu.sg together with your name and application number.
Will I be required to go through an interview?
Only shortlisted candidates will be required to go through an interview. You will be informed via e-mail if you have been shortlisted.
How will I be notified of the admission decision?
You will be informed of the admission decision by email, together with instructions on how to accept the admission offer. Only successful candidates will be notified. Applicants are advised to check the online application system for their application status.
Will NBS provide feedback on an unsuccessful application?
For confidentiality purposes, we will not be able to provide feedback on rejected applications.
Financial Aids And Scholarships
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes, you may apply for more than one scholarship. For the list of scholarships available, please click here.
How do I apply for scholarship?
Just check the box next to the scholarship of your choice in the application form for the scholarships available.
Do note that for certain scholarships administered by external organisations, you would be required to submit an application directly to the organisation.
If I apply for multiple scholarships, can I be awarded more than one?
Each candidate will only be awarded one scholarship.
When will I be informed of the scholarship decision?
Should you be awarded a scholarship, you will be notified approximately 2 weeks after the admission decision.
Does NTU offer student loans or financial aids?
NTU does not offer student loans or financial aids, however admitted participants of the full-time Nanyang MBA programme may apply for student loans with our partners. For a full list of partners, please refer here.
