Research Fellow Bairoliya Sakcham received CBE Young Investigator Award 2024

The School congratulates CEE Research Fellow Bairoliya Sakcham for receiving the CBE Young Investigator Award 2024 and presenting his research at the Montana Biofilm Meeting (July 10–12, 2024) in Bozeman, Montana. Sakcham is the first recipient from Asia since it started in 2010. All previous recipients are from Europe and North America.

The meeting is organized by the Centre for Biofilm Engineering (CBE) at Montana State University (MSU). The audience is a mix of engineers and scientists performing biofilm research in the lab as well as representatives from industry seeking innovative solutions to their biofilm challenges.

CBE, one of four leading institutes for Biofilm Research, used the award to encourage exceptional non-MSU biofilm investigators (targeting postdoctoral researchers and newly hired faculty). Two awardees are chosen by the Montana Biofilm Meeting Program Committee based on research quality and relevance of the material to the CBE's mission, which is to advance fundamental interdisciplinary research and education related to the management of bacterial biofilms, and to transfer that knowledge to the realm of applied science and technology.
