NTU Singapore is up one spot to 22nd globally in this year’s Highly Cited Researchers list by Clarivate, a United Kingdom-based data company. This includes 3 of our SCSE faculty members – Professor Dusit Niyato (Computer Science) listed since 2017, Professor Lin Weisi (Cross-field) listed since 2019 and Professor Erik Cambria (Computer Science) listed since 2022.
For the sixth year running, NTU has the largest number of influential scientists among Singapore institutions recognised, with 42 NTU researchers that have significant and broad influence in their fields of research named. These 42 scientists account for 44 mentions in the list, with two individuals recognised more than once.
About half of the listed NTU researchers are cited for their interdisciplinary work, affirming progress in delivering on a key aim of the University’s five-year strategic plan, NTU2025 – to support high-impact interdisciplinary research to address humanity’s grand challenges, such as mitigating people’s impact on the environment and responding to the needs and challenges of healthy living and ageing.
