Inter-institutional Partnerships
The Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) is an international research campus and innovation hub supported by the National Research Foundation. This initiative seeks to attract selected elite international research universities to set up world-class research centres locally so that there will be intensive research collaboration, graduate student training, and technology transfer activities with Singapore-based universities and research institutions.

Jointly established with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, the Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) is the first institute dedicated to research and development in air transportation. The institute seeks to transform air traffic management through digital technologies.

The Max Planck-NTU Joint Lab for Artificial Senses aims to break new grounds in artificial senses and extend senses beyond the human capability by developing solutions and systems for robotics, sensory mechanisms, prosthetics and healthcare.

The Maritime Energy and Sustainable Development Centre of Excellence (MESD) is a collaboration between NTU and the Singapore Maritime Institute, combining their expertise to enhance Singapore's position as a global hub for maritime knowledge and innovation. MESD focuses on advancing future port and shipping applications to drive sustainable growth in the maritime sector.

NTU Singapore – CEA Alliance for Research in Circular Economy (NTU SCARCE) is jointly set up by NTU and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), NTU SCARCE formulates advanced technologies in materials sorting, dismantling, dissolution, separation, and reuse, to enable innovative, energy efficient solutions for the recycling and recovery of resources from e-waste.

Supported by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, the Transport Research Centre (TRC) conducts research to advance Singapore’s land transport systems in areas such as:

COSMO is a national initiative to establish Singapore as a Global Innovation Hub for Connected Mobility. One of its key focus is to leverage on 5G & Cellular-V2X technologies to develop new innovations to enable future mobility and intelligent transport solutions.
