Documentary on Fake News in Singapore
Fake news has become a persistent and global problem, and Singapore has
not been spared. Especially during the pandemic, fake news posts became
viral on social media, misinforming people and influencing their
decisions and behaviours.
In this documentary, produced by the Centre for Information Integrity
and the Internet and funded by the Singapore Social Science Research
Council, we examine the problem of fake news in Singapore.
Scams in Singapore
On 9th Sep 2022, IN-cube presented a set of preliminary survey results relating to scams in Singapore to the WKWSCI students in the CS0204 (Basic Media Writing) class. The findings are based on the data from Wave 4 of a longitudinal survey conducted by IN-cube. This session is moderated by IN-cube Director, Edson C. Tandoc Jr.
Videoconferencing Fatigue
The Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube) shared new research findings on videoconferencing fatigue during an online session with first-year WKWSCI students on 14 Sep 2021. Assistant Professor Benjamin Li Junting and IN-cube Research Fellow Dr. Goh Zhang Hao shared the results from IN-cube's national survey (Wave 2), while Associate Professor Edson C. Tandoc Jr. moderated the session.

Join us in an online conference organised by the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for the launch of the 2021 Reuters Institute Digital News Report for Singapore. The study, conducted by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University in partnership with IN-cube, showcases key insights on how Singaporeans engage with and trust the news amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
