Associate Professor Tang Wern Ee, MBBS, MMed (Family Medicine), FCFP, MHPEd, completed her undergraduate medical and postgraduate Family Medicine training at the National University of Singapore. She is currently Assistant Dean, Family Medicine and Lead for the Longitudinal Community Experience at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She is committed to equipping future generations of doctors with the knowledge and skills to proactively address the healthcare challenges of today and tomorrow.
Associate Professor Tang is currently a Senior Consultant, Family Physician at the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics where she is Director, Clinical Research Unit and Director, Information Management and Analytics. She is also a Senior Consultant to the Ministry of Health, Primary Care and Community Care Division and Chairperson of the Singapore National Asthma Programme Steering Committee.
Associate Professor Tang’s clinical research interests are in the areas of chronic disease management, health literacy and health services in primary care. She is currently leading the NHG Reversing Diabetes Research Programme and is the lead investigator for a primary care Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial. She is also a member of The Academic Respiratory Initiative for Pulmonary Health Centre for Respiratory Research Excellence (TARIPH) and is leading a clinical trial in asthma management in primary care.
