Staying on mission

The LKCMedicine Editor Kimberley Wang

By Kimberley Wang, Editor, The LKCMedicine

With the emergence of the Omicron variant, scientists across the world are racing to understand its potential implications. This new threat highlights the urgent need for research in the ongoing fight against the pandemic.

At LKCMedicine, our infectious disease experts continue to contribute significantly to COVID-19 research. At the same time, the School is staying on mission in realising its vision of Redefining Medicine and Transforming Healthcare. We continue to press ahead with transformative research to create better health outcomes for the community.

In this issue, we put the spotlight on the impactful work by the LKCMedicine research community. We also celebrate the contributions and achievements of our faculty and staff at the recent Dean’s Awards and the prestigious Nanyang Awards.

As the year draws to a close, our Chief Operating Officer Dr Serene Ng shares her reflections on finding happiness around us and how we can experience joy every day.

Happy holidays and happy reading!
