Progression to Master's Programmes

Subject to meeting the entry requirements of the Master’s programme, learners who aspire to further their studies may enroll in a Master’s programme.

After completing a Graduate Certificate

Transfer credits of up to 12 AUs of courses upon successful admission into a Master’s programme;

GPL NIE Graduate Certificate to Master's Programme After completing a Graduate Certificate

After completing a FlexiMasters

Transfer credits of 16 AUs upon successful admission into its relevant Master’s programme. Learners who choose this option will be required to complete the remaining 14 AU of courses AND a compulsory 2 AU general elective in order to meet the graduation requirements of the Master’s programme.

GPL NIE Graduate Certificate to Master's Programme After completing a Graduate Certificate

Credit transfer of courses completed under the Graduate Certificate and/or FlexiMasters to a Master’s programme will be subject to the current accreditation policy:

  • The grade obtained for the course must be at least a C+.
  • The validity period for exemption/ credit transfer of a course is 5 years from the date of award of the course as reflected in the official result slip/transcript.
  • The course must not have been used for exemption/ credit transfer into another programme.
  • Academic units from Graduate Certificates or FlexiMasters that are approved for transfer of credits will not be included in the computation of CGPA for all graduate programmes.
