As Singapore’s teacher education institute, NIE provides teacher education at all levels, from programmes for aspiring mainstream school teachers to  professional development programmes for in-service teachers and executive leadership programmes for Principals, Departmental Heads and other school leaders.

We also offer part-time Bachelor of Education degree programmes for current primary- and early childhood-level teachers as well as postgraduate degrees in Arts, Education, Physical Education and Science.

For those looking at sports-related careers, the Sport Science & Management (SSM) programme is a robust interdisciplinary undergraduate degree programme focusing on the scientific principles behind exercise and the human body along with the management of sport organisations. SSM is the only undergraduate programme offered by a local tertiary institute that provides academic and professional pathways to sport-related careers.
