Our History
A multi-disciplinary university-level centre established in 2001
NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur), previously known as Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, was established in January 2001 with seed funding from the Economic Development Board (EDB), Singapore. A multi-disciplinary university-level centre, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy was created to be the focal point of entrepreneurship education within the University and the region, and is committed to fostering, promoting and nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship endeavours through entrepreneurship education.

Our Programmes and Outreach
NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) equips its students with skills in entrepreneurship competence through the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme (MSc TIP) for postgraduates, the Minor in Entrepreneurship Programme (MiE), Second Major in Entrepreneurship (SMiE) and Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP) for undergraduates, the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for executives, as well as several national and campus wide events held year round.

As NTU Entrepreneurship Academy entered its 20th anniversary, the academy will continue to promote and develop an entrepreneurial environment, in line with the nation's effort to create a vibrant and thriving sector of high growth technology-oriented companies. Our programmes consistently provide students who are deeply passionate about entrepreneurship with one of the best innovation and entrepreneurship education and industry-related applied research platforms. Moving forward, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy will continue to develop and grow the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem by providing a world-class education and inspiring students to identify economic values of technology and translate them into products and services that benefit the society.

Technology is evolving and will play an increasingly significant role in the world's economic landscape. As drivers of innovation, entrepreneurs should be sensitive to and quick in identifying economic values of technology and seize new opportunities to translate them into products and services that benefit society. Entrepreneurship is a cornerstone of the growth strategies for the future economy.
In the eyes of people taking an entrepreneurial path, the future is not just a continuation of the past, but a result of purposeful and creative efforts. At NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur), previously known as Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, we adopt a broad and vibrant approach to entrepreneurship, from leadership to management, operation, and innovation. Capability building and mindset change are both crucial to entrepreneurial success, be it idea generation, prototyping, new product design, marketing, or fundraising. Therefore, we strive to bring together technology innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, policy-makers and other stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, to form interdisciplinary teams to address business problems in a global context.

NTUpreneur MSc TIP received the Graduate Level Award. Selection was based on the quality of each programme’s curriculum, pedagogy, and the impact generated.
