Enrolment
Can I join if I do not have prior knowledge?
Can I enrol in multiple SCTP courses simultaneously at different training providers?
Can I take an individual module instead of the entire SCTP course?
Which months of the year do SCTP courses typically have intakes?
After submitting my application, when can I expect to hear back about the status of it?
From the date of submission, applicants can expect to receive confirmation that their application has been received within three working days.
Following this, they will be asked to submit their resume and complete a pre-course survey. The final status of their application will be communicated at least three weeks before course commencement, contingent on how quickly the pre-course survey is completed and when the interview is conducted, if any.
Course Format
What is the mode of learning and where are classes held at?
I am currently residing outside of Singapore, is it possible to participate in the lessons virtually?
Will the recordings of synchronous e-learning sessions be shared with learners?
If there are days when I am unable to attend Face-to-Face sessions (F2F), will there be pre-recorded sessions?
F2F sessions are not recorded. If learners are unable to attend a particular lesson, they can discuss it with our friendly instructors at the start of the course.
Course Completion
After completing a SCTP course, what certificate will I receive?
Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded an Advanced Professional Certificate by NTU.
Learners must also attain at least 75 per cent training attendance and pass all associated assessments to graduate.
Will the SCTP courses lead to job placements?
What is the typical placement rate for graduates of SCTP courses?
Are SCTP courses stackable towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at NTU?
SCTP courses are non-credit bearing. Hence, they cannot be stacked towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree. If you are interested in credit-bearing courses that can be stacked towards a degree, we recommend exploring the FlexiMasters and Graduate Certificate programmes.
Fee and Funding
What are the funding support available?
Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit and Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) to offset the nett course fees?
Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 to offset the nett course fees?
Yes, you can use the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 to offset the nett course fees. This means you will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses.
However, do note that it cannot be used for individual modules.
Who is eligible for the additional course fee funding support under SCTP?
The additional course fee funding support of up to 95% of the course fees for SCTP courses will be available for jobseekers with greater needs. To be eligible for the additional course fee funding support, individuals must be Singapore Citizens and meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
a. Long-term unemployed individuals (unemployed for six months or more); or
b. Individuals in need of financial assistance – ComCare Short-to-Medium Term Assistance (SMTA) recipients or Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) recipients; or
c. Persons with Disabilities.How can I apply for the additional course fee funding support?
How do I know if I am eligible for the additional course fee funding support?
As SCTP is conducted in modular format, you will be eligible for the additional course fee funding support based on the course start date of each module under a SCTP. There will not be any retrospective funding given.
Example: You completed module 1 and are assessed to be eligible for the additional course fee funding support from the course start date of module 2. The additional course fee funding support will apply for module 2 and remaining modules under the SCTP. However, retrospective additional course fee funding support will not be given for module 1 which you have already completed.Does NTU PACE offer any alumni benefits that include discounts on course fees?
