Faculty and Industry Trainer

Francis Tay

Mr. Francis Tay
Lecturer, NTU WKWSCI,
Programme Director/Trainer

Francis is currently a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Wee Kim Wee School for Communications and Information (WKWSCI), teaching Business Intelligence, Information Sources and Services, and Information Entrepreneurship in the Master of Knowledge Management, Master of Information Systems, and Master of Information Studies and Master of Mass Communications.

He has been teaching at NTU at post-graduate level for more than 10 years. Francis has also conducted short courses under PACE’s programmes in specialised areas e.g., Data Analysis and Analytics, Market Sensing, and others.  

 


Mr. Ian Tan, Lecturer, NTU WKWSCI

Ian lectures in strategic communications at Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University. He covers multiple disciplines such as advertising and journalism. He also provides consultation and training for large organizations in the areas of Generative AI, AI imaging and communications. His career has spanned across the media, consumer technology and gaming industries. He started out as a journalist and went on to become a global marketer and business leader. He has had held senior leadership positions at major companies like Lenovo, Razer, Microsoft and Singapore Press Holdings.  Ian has combined his expertise in technology, storytelling, visual art, and pedagogy to help people grow and learn using the power of words, visuals and AI. He also contributes commentaries and quotes to national media on topics ranging from communications to lifelong learning.

Ms. Khoo Seok Teng

Seok Teng is a committed and versatile educator with significant industry experience and extensive teaching experience. She possesses strong business acumen and domain knowledge across different industries - hospitality, travel, technology and telecoms. She has a passion for delivering enriching learning experiences to both young adult learners and mature learners by using relatable real-world examples. Seok Teng is also a Chartered Accountant, CFA, MBA, BSc (Computer Science) and Tableau Desktop Specialist.

Mr. Kan Hwa Heng

Hwa Heng is an adjunct lecturer at various institutes of higher learning. He teaches ICT subjects such as databases, SQL language, object-oriented programming, web application development, and data visualisation. He has more than 4 years of teaching experience.  Hwa Heng has more than 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. He performed various technical roles including software development, technical pre-sales and IT project management. He developed and maintained enterprise applications for the government, banking and healthcare domains. Hwa Heng obtained his MBA (Management of Information Technology) and Honours degree (Computer Technology) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is a certified Project Management Professional and certified Tableau Desktop Specialist.

Mr. Alan Ho

Alan is the CEO and founding member of Good Bards. Alan is a marketing veteran with over two decades of experience in Information Technology. With a background in B2B marketing, he has held senior leadership roles in tech giants and start-ups. Alan's entrepreneurial journey led him to develop a cutting-edge marketing automation tool to empower marketers with efficient execution capabilities. Alan is also an adjunct lecturer with SMU teaching "Managing Customer Relations with Analytics.
