Frequently Asked Questions

Enrolment

Prior knowledge is not compulsory. Nevertheless, applicants will be required to undergo a shortlisting process where they must share their résumé and complete a pre-course survey. Our instructors and career consultants will review applicants to assess their suitability before deciding whether to shortlist them for the course.

We commend your effort in pursuing multiple SCTP courses. You are free to enrol in more than one SCTP course with different training providers, provided your schedule permits.

Instead of an individual module, we recommend taking the entire SCTP course to unlock its full potential and maximise your learning. Additionally, you will also get to receive career advisory and employment facilitation services as a SCTP learner.

We typically launch one intake per quarter. The dates of future intakes will be determined by our instructors' availabilities. Hence, referring to past intake dates may not be a reliable indicator.

From the date of submission, applicants can expect to receive confirmation that their application has been received within three working days.

Following this, they will be asked to submit their resume and complete a pre-course survey. The final status of their application will be communicated at least three weeks before course commencement, contingent on how quickly the pre-course survey is completed and when the interview is conducted, if any.

Course Format

Face-to-Face (F2F) sessions are conducted at NTU@one-north (11 Slim Barracks Rise, Singapore 138664). NTU PACE reserves the right to change the date, mode and venue of lessons or cancel them due to unforeseen circumstances.
While our course offers both F2F and online lessons, attendance for all sessions is compulsory. To successfully complete the course, a minimum of 75 per cent attendance is required. F2F sessions are particularly important as they offer valuable opportunities to interact directly with instructors and engage in in-person discussions. We encourage all learners to fully participate in both formats to get the most out of the course.
The recordings are not shared with learners as they are intended solely for internal audit and review purposes to ensure the quality and consistency of our courses.

F2F sessions are not recorded. If learners are unable to attend a particular lesson, they can discuss it with our friendly instructors at the start of the course.

Course Completion

Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded an Advanced Professional Certificate by NTU.

Learners must also attain at least 75 per cent training attendance and pass all associated assessments to graduate.

We will provide career advisory and employment facilitation services to help learners in their job search in relevant sectors or job roles. However, there is no guarantee of a job placement, and learners would need to be open to the job opportunities available.
We are unable to provide specific placement rate figures due to the competitive nature of the industry. However, please note that SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) closely monitors the performance of our courses. The continued availability of multiple intakes is a testament to the effectiveness of our courses and SSG's confidence in our ability to deliver quality education.

Yes, you can use the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 to offset the nett course fees. This means you will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses.

However, do note that it cannot be used for individual modules.

The additional course fee funding support of up to 95% of the course fees for SCTP courses will be available for jobseekers with greater needs. To be eligible for the additional course fee funding support, individuals must be Singapore Citizens and meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

a. Long-term unemployed individuals (unemployed for six months or more); or

b. Individuals in need of financial assistance – ComCare Short-to-Medium Term Assistance (SMTA) recipients or Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) recipients; or

c. Persons with Disabilities.

You can contact [email protected] to find out if you meet the eligibility criteria. The additional course fee funding support will be applied automatically if you fulfil the eligibility criteria.

As SCTP is conducted in modular format, you will be eligible for the additional course fee funding support based on the course start date of each module under a SCTP. There will not be any retrospective funding given.

Example: You completed module 1 and are assessed to be eligible for the additional course fee funding support from the course start date of module 2. The additional course fee funding support will apply for module 2 and remaining modules under the SCTP. However, retrospective additional course fee funding support will not be given for module 1 which you have already completed.
