Introduction
Due to the recent advancements in hardware and software technology, AI has become one of the most popular tools in numerous domains. This course intends to teach machine learning (ML) principles, optimization algorithms and extracting knowledge from a material database using various ML models.
- Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
- FlexiMasters in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
- Realize the impacts of ML and optimization in a broad range of applications pertaining to accelerated materials development and accelerated fault isolation.
- Grow capabilities to implement various forward and inverse algorithms on material databases.
- Build potential ML models to extract knowledge from a material database.
This course is to teach learners how to accelerate materials development for manufacturing through AI with Python implementation. It is suitable for learners who have no experience in machine learning (ML), optimization, material characteristics, material synthesis and defect detection in real-time manufacturing process, with preliminary knowledge in Python programming. It mainly covers,
AI for accelerated materials development (Introductory level)
- Business opportunities in AI accelerated materials development.
- Foundations of ML in materials development.
- Foundations of optimization framework in materials development.
- Knowledge extraction from a material database.
No pre-requisites are needed to enrol in the individual courses.
Participants need to take note that those without qualifications or prior working experience in relevant engineering or the related fields, may find the course contents challenging.
