Introduction

This course on Organization culture and leadership addresses a wide range of people, organization and cultural topics relevant to a project manager. This course curriculum is aligned to the content outlined in the Guide to the PMI® Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK™, Sixth Edition). This course will help students to learn and reflect on the leadership skills that will be required by project managers as they navigate high complex and uncertain project environments. This course will also help students appreciate the role of leadership in shaping organization culture.

Dr Vidya Badrinarayanan

Dr. Vidya Badrinarayanan has been teaching management-related courses at MAE NTU for the past 8 years. She holds a PhD from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and a Double Master's Degree in Systems Engineering and Project Management from NTU and Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Additionally, she has acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership from renowned institutions such as MIT, Tuck, and Columbia Business Schools. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras.

With over 20 years of experience in both industry and academia, she has gained a well-rounded experience. Prior to joining NTU, she successfully managed numerous information technology projects in the finance sector. She has extensive global experience, having worked in the United States, Singapore, and India. Her research interests primarily lie in the domains of Systems Engineering, Leadership, Team Development, and Project Management.

In her free time, Dr. Vidya enjoys travelling, playing chess, and solving puzzles.
