Introduction
This course will equip students with an advanced level understanding of psychological knowledge about physical activity for health.
Students will have opportunities to work on physical activity measurements and data interpretation as a part of research experience, alongside lectures and tutorials. A mix of face-to-face interactions, online learning and group work is implemented in this course. It is intended that students be guided to holistically integrate the knowledge presented throughout the course.
- Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies
Learners need to complete any 3 of the following courses to attain the Graduate Certificate in Physical Activity and Health (12 AU). Upon completion of all courses, learners will fulfil the AU requirements to attain the FlexiMasters in Physical Activity and Health (16 AU).

This course aims to provide students with an advanced level understanding of psychological knowledge about physical activity for health.
- Understand and critique key theoretical frameworks used to promote physical activity,
- Acquire skills to measure physical activity with major approaches and understand pros and cons of each approach,
- Propose and implement interventions to promote physical activity based on sound theoretical frameworks.
To meet the requirement of SkillsFuture Singapore, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course. The assessment(s) include:
- Individual Research Task
- Individual Assignment
- Group Assignment
- Individual Class Participation
