Introduction
This course provides students with the understanding of the major instructional design models useful in school and training contexts. Major topics covered include the analysis of performance and instructional problems, instructional design processes, and issues and processes of development, implementation and evaluation. Emphasis will be given to how to identify and solve learning and performance problems.
- Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology
Learners must complete any 3 of the following courses to attain the Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design (E-Learning) (12 AU):
• MID922 E-Learning Tools for Training (Pre-requisite: Completed MID901)
Upon completion of the fourth course, learners will fulfil the AU requirements to attain the FlexiMasters in Instructional Design (E-Learning) (16 AU).
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Analyze given performance problems to identify training needs and propose appropriate solutions.
2. Apply appropriate instructional design processes to develop the learning objectives, content, instructional strategies, and instructional materials with respect to a given instructional problem.
To meet the requirement of SkillsFuture Singapore, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course. The assessment(s) include:
- Group Project and Presentation
- Individual Project
Preferable to have working experience as a corporate trainer or educational software developer, or school teacher.
