Introduction

The prospect of translating theoretical findings into practical actions is one that excites and motivates educators and researchers. However, this process of translation is often one that is riddled with ethical concerns. This course will provide students with a broad overview of translating educational neuroscience research into educational practices, focusing on issues of ethical concerns.

This course is part of:
- Graduate Certificate in Mind, Brain, and Education
- FlexiMasters in Mind, Brain, and Education

- Master of Science in Science of Learning 

 

Learners need to complete any of the following three courses to attain the Graduate Certificate in Mind, Brain, and Education (12 AU):

  • MSL901
  • MSL904
  • MSL906
  • MSL907A, MSL907B, and MSL907C

Upon completion of all courses, learners will fulfil the AU requirements to attain the FlexiMasters in Mind, Brain, and Education (16 AU).

  1. Analyse translational approaches to addressing science of learning concepts
  2. Understand the ethical issues surrounding translational research

To meet the requirement of SkillsFuture Singapore, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course. The assessment(s) include:

  • Individual Learning Portfolio
  • Individual Reflection Paper
  • Group Presentation
