Introduction
Educators in Higher Education need to be able to integrate technology to facilitate the learners’ learning experience. This course will help educators to review their current practices and try to promote meaningful learning and some 21st century skills, such as self-directly learning and collaborative learning using the TPACK framework.
This course is part of:
- Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
- Master of Arts in Professional Education (Training and Development)
Learners must complete the following courses to attain the Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (9 AU):
- MTD903 Instructional Design Models and Practices
- MTD913A Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Foundations
- MTD913B Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Course Design
- MTD913C Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Reflective Practice
- MTD914 Facilitate teaching and learning with technology
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain all the elements of TPACK framework with the help of the TPACK diagram.
- Redesign at least one technology integrated lesson activity using the lesson planning guide.
To meet the requirement of SkillsFuture Singapore, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course. The assessment(s) include:
- Individual Assignment (Individual)
- Group Assignment Peer Critique (Group)
- Class Participation
At least 2 years of working experience in one of the following:
1. Teacher Professional Development
2. Educational Leadership
3. Higher Education
4. Continuing Education and Training
5. Other relevant adult education or management
