The marine and offshore pillar aims to advance the use of 3D printing in the marine and offshore industries, leading to more efficient and cost-effective solutions for these industries. Research activities include multi material metal printing of parts with improved mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, part redesign to reduce cost, weight and complexity, in-situ repair of large metallic parts, material development and certification, development of standards.
