This programme has been incredibly insightful, and I’ve learnt so many things that have aided me in my pursuit of becoming a writer. It was especially useful when it came to shedding some light on the publishing industry, a behind-the-scenes look that I definitely needed as I had little prior knowledge about it. As for the creative writing lessons, I had a lot of fun reading the works of my fellow classmates, learning and practicing various new skills, as well as sharing my own works, all of which definitely improved my craft and boosted my confidence in my own writing.

Studying the MACWPub programme has given me a more systematic and deeper understanding of creative writing and publishing. Creative writing courses are more like workshops, where students share their experiences together and get detailed feedback from lecturers and classmates. The publishing courses were practical, helping us consider issues as both students and practitioners, which enriched our professional foundations. I would like to thank all the lecturers and administrators of CWPub for their professional knowledge and help. It’s so amazing to meet such a nice department and classmates to have an unforgettable and wonderful learning journey at NTU. Love you all and all the best!

Believe it or not, the MACW&P programme was the study course of my dreams! Besides marrying creativity and pragmatism, the passionate teaching staff that included writers/poets also got me to develop new work and revive old writing projects. Furthermore, I got to enjoy brilliant, insightful work from peers of different nationalities, cultures and interests! Inspired personally as well as professionally, I cannot wait to further my career and life as a creative.

After two decades in the corporate world, I yearned for a creative outlet. The MA Creative Writing and Publishing program at NTU ignited my passion and provided the tools to transform my dreams into reality.

This holistic program not only honed my writing skills but also equipped me with the industry knowledge to market my work, pitch concepts, and connect with my audience. Moreover, I left the program feeling more confident about entering the publishing industry.

The program's supportive environment empowered me to overcome my fear of sharing my work. With the encouragement of my lecturers, I ventured into the world of submissions. The result? A third-place win in the International Proverse Poetry Prize and an upcoming publication in an established Hong Kong anthology, which will be released in early 2025.

These achievements would have remained mere aspirations without the invaluable guidance and support received during the MACWPub program. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone seeking a fulfilling writing career, and I thank the faculty and staff for their hard work.

It's an honor to participate in the Creative Writing and Publishing course. The journey of the year at NTU is an unrepeatable life experience for me.

I met precious professors and friends here, each of whom has enthusiasm and talent for writing and has infected me. They are like the gifts in my life. And this course allows us to re-examine writing and express ourselves in another language. I began to believe in my own words. Those accidental bursts of inspiration and this trust instantly fulfil each other.
