Prof Li Zhengren: UN Bureaucracy

This talk aims to explain the differences among the UN, the UN system organizations, and international organizations. Since these organizations all follow guidelines from CEB and ICSC in principle, details will be elaborated about the UN itself, staff rules and regulations, funding sources and their historical changes. A sample of the geographic distribution of posts occupied by nationals from member states will also be provided and explained.
