Creating a safe space to recover from trauma and addiction

Rayner (he/him/his) will share more on the journey of The Greenhouse, a new charity serving marginalised and vulnerable communities (including sexual minorities, people living with HIV). He will briefly present on global and local substance use trends among sexual minorities and draw on frameworks such as the minority stress theory and a trauma-informed framework to discuss the theoretical bases for such trends. 

Speaker: Dr Rayner Tan

Rayner is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina Project-China and a visiting research fellow at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (NUS) and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, Singapore. He is a director at The Greenhouse and conducts research on drug use, sexually transmitted infections, and health of sexual minorities.
