What We Do
About Us
The Centre, officially launched in 2015, is a unique Interdisciplinary Research Platform established to strengthen research capability and explore new synergies for the NTU Integrated Medical, Biological and Environmental Life Sciences (NIMBELS).
Find out moreResearch Areas
The main research areas of the SPC are Food and Nutrition, Infection and Microbiome, and Environmental Sciences. SPC also develops metabolomics technologies and serve across areas of clinical, biological and environmental sciences. These research/services are centred on the profiling of critical biomolecules such as metabolites and lipids using the state-of-the-art Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS), and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy technologies available at SPC.
Core Services
In recent years, metabolomics have become increasingly important due to its potential to expand the understanding of how environmental factors and diseases influences human health. This can, in turn, lead to early disease diagnosis and prevention, or therapeutic strategies, resulting in improved healthcare and a higher standard of living. As such, the main research and service areas of the SPC are in the clinical, biological and environmental sciences. These research studies are centred on the profiling of critical biomolecules such as metabolites and lipids using the state-of-the-art Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS), and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy technologies available at SPC.
Singapore Phenome Centre offers a wide range of services. We help with project design, sample preparation, sample analysis and data analysis.
