The Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences with a Second Major in Sustainability programme provides students with a rigorous foundation in the mathematical sciences, coupled with wide-ranging exposure to the concepts of sustainability. Students will learn how environmental challenges can be addressed by combining mathematical methods with domain-specific knowledge in the sciences, engineering, the humanities, and business.

The Second Major in Sustainability is open to all single-major degree programmes.

Candidates must meet the minimum entry requirements of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences programme, including the minimum subject requirements.

Minimum Subject Requirements

Qualification Minimum Subject Requirements
Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level H2 Level pass in Mathematics.
Polytechnic Diploma Relevant diploma (click here for more information). Applicants should have good grades in at least two mathematics modules, and must pass an admission test administered by the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Pass in Mathematics at Higher Level.
NUS High School Diploma Major CAP of 2.0 in Mathematics.
Others (including international applicants) A good grade in Mathematics at the senior high school level, equivalent to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level or International Baccalaureate.


This is a full time four-year Bachelor of Science programme.
