Professor Nikolay Zheludev elected Fellow of the Hagler Institute of Advanced study

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences extends our warmest congratulations to Professor Nikolay Zheludev for being named a Fellow of the Hagler Institute of Advanced Study.

The Hagler Institute of Advanced Study is a research institute based in Texas A&M University, USA. Each year, it selects a small number of fellows "from among top scholars who have distinguished themselves through outstanding professional accomplishments or significant recognition", to perform research and collaboration in collaboration with faculty and students at Texas A&M University.

Professor Zheludev is one of the world's leading researchers in the field of metamaterials and nanophotonics. He is a faculty member at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU SIngapore), as well as the University of Southampton, UK.  He is the director of the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies and co-director of The Photonics Institute at NTU Singapore, as well as deputy director at the Zepler Institute in the University of Southampton. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and Member of the USA National Academy of Engineering, and has won numerous prizes for his research including the 2021 President’s Science Award (Singapore).
