About Us

In this rapidly changing world, the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH) is pioneering the fight against climate-driven health challenges. We unite with world-class experts from diverse fields to uncover how climate change shapes human health. Focused on Southeast Asia, CCEH is not just about research—it’s about creating a healthier, more resilient future for Singapore and the world. We collaborate with NTU’s premier institutes to transform insights into actionable, evidence-based solutions.

Our Goals

1. Understanding Climate Change Impacts on Health

Examine how rising temperatures, air pollution, and water scarcity—aggravated by climate change—affect human health. Our research highlights the growing risks of respiratory diseases, heat stress, and waterborne illnesses. By understanding these impacts, we aim to inform interventions and build resilience.

2. Advancing Data-Driven Research

Leveraging advanced climate modeling, artificial intelligence, and epidemiology, we monitor and forecast health risks associated with climate events. This data-driven approach enables precise predictions of health impacts and supports proactive adaptation strategies.

3. Studying Disease Mechanisms

We delve into the biological pathways linking heat, air pollution, and microbiome changes to health outcomes. From respiratory and cardiovascular disorders to mental health challenges, we uncover the mechanisms driving climate-related diseases.

4. Creating Innovative Solutions

Through local and international collaborations, we develop sustainable healthcare solutions to mitigate climate-induced risks. These include reducing mortality, adapting health systems, and enhancing socio-economic resilience against environmental changes.

5. Promoting Global Partnerships

By partnering with renowned institutions worldwide, we exchange knowledge and drive innovation to tackle climate-driven health challenges. Together, we address regional and global disparities, fostering impactful, long-term solutions.
