Celebrating 20 Years of Maritime Studies Excellence at NTU-CEE
On 16 August 2024, the NTU-CEE community gathered at the Orchard Hotel Ballroom to celebrate a significant milestone – 20 years since the inception of the Maritime Studies Programme. This joyous occasion brought together nearly 300 alumni, who reconnected with old classmates and shared fond memories with their professors.
A particularly touching moment was when Associate Prof Wong Yiik Diew brought a scrapbook filled with memories to share with alumni, reflecting the deep connections fostered through the years.
The event was graced by Mr. Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), who served as the Guest of Honor. His speech resonated with the audience, highlighting the tremendous growth and achievements of the Maritime Studies Programme over the past two decades.
Organized by the NTU-CEE Alumni Association in partnership with CEE and CEE Maritime Business Society, this celebration was more than just a reunion – it was a testament to the strong bonds and enduring legacy of our Maritime Studies community. As we look back on 20 remarkable years, we also look forward to the future with renewed commitment to excellence in maritime education and research.
