Congratulations to Assistant Professor Wu Wei on the award of Cities of Tomorrow Grant

This project aims to develop an integrated detection method to monitor the occurrence and propagation of sinkholes above and in front of Tunnel Boring Machine. The integrated method includes global detection, coarse detection, fine detection, and special detection. The data interpretation and sinkhole detection will allow contractors to mitigate potential risks of excessive over-excavation that may cause undesired cost overrun and affect resident daily life.
